Tokyo Marui has introduced its newest product- AK74MN. This is a specially designed gun with unusual elements. Primarily, this gun is metal-built, unlike other guns by Tokyo Marui. These features make it more competitive in the global market. The usage of a metallic body instead of a plastic one of the gun is the stepping-stone towards its popularity.
Next comes the unique and novel recoil design. After shooting, the gun gets little withdrawn and then the fastener moves to and fro. Unfortunately, this complicates the entire mechanism. It also reduces the longevity of the battery. It would not be proper to comment on the battery life since I have not used this gun for a long period of time.
Following this is the new and high-tech arsenal system equipped in AK74MN that is not compatible with your old guns. Recently, I got a chance of trying my hands at this gun in a nearby airsoft store. I was completely taken aback by its brilliant performance.
The feel of this gun is similar to any other Tokyo Marui guns. That is they are expensive and substantial. To give it more value, the body is built with metal. Hence there is no need to rush to some spare parts shop for a metal kit.
The new recoil system is undoubtedly a good change. You may not expect it to be a Remington 700 but neither can you deny its realistic feel. The recoiling system of AK74MN is similar to any ordinary gun.
Uniformity is another positive aspect of this gun. The reading on the chronograph shows that the range of FPS (feet/second) of firing has been static at 310 to 311. Test of accuracy was not done, but Blow Back groups compensated for that lenience. It was quite stringent when our shooting session was in progression. Only Excel 0.20g BBs was used for this test.
With high-end technology equipped in the arsenal system, I could fire till the final round. It is an impossible proposition for any other airsoft AK gun. It is important to bear in mind that arsenal of your old guns will not support the new one. The regular price of one set of magazine is about .
To sum up, I highly recommend this gun. It has many benefits and advantages. These include its metal built, high tech recoil, arsenal design and uniform performance. The only drawback is its battery. An 8.4v battery can never be the best option for this high-end arm. It will eventually get rectified and improvised to hold at least 9.6v. This minor drawback should not deter you to buy this gun but should be kept in mind while purchasing.
In United States of America, AK74MN is available within 0. It may appear to be a substantial amount but is eventually worth it.
